With all natural, whole food options being rare in the restaurant industry, this option in a fast food variety is a rare gem! They have been highly spotlighted in the press for their pay and business practices but they are so much more! We need to support businesses like this, with good values that are worth our money re: the quality of food they serve us AND how they treat their employees... The more we support them, they can begin to bloom all over the metro area and then EVERYONE wins!

Visited this new spot while home for Memorial weekend. Ordered the Shroom which had good flavor wanted the burger a little less soggy. Would definitely go back.

I had a double cheeseburger with cheddar and regular fries. Both hit the spot, but the prices are steep for a carryout-only joint, and it's a little off the beaten path for me. Should my motivational-speaking tour bring me to Dearborn Heights (I don't have one, yet), I'll definitely be back. Ah yes, my right heel wanted me to remind you to be careful with that front door -- it closes fast!

I really like the burger here as well as the garlic fries & the sea salt fries. The burger would be most similar to 5 Guys...it's just as messy & the ingredients are very fresh & super tasty. I've had the chicken a couple times & it's good but it's missing something...it's lacking seasoning of some kind. The slaw that's on top of it is good but it's not flavorful enough to stand out with the chicken. Their shakes are so freaking good as is the pop they serve...I recently had the ginger ale & it hit the spot. This month they are featuring a burger on a donut & I would love to try it...those are 2 of my favorite things!!! This is not a dine in place, it's carry-out & there's very limited parking so I would suggest just using the side street, it's much easier. They have 3 small tables inside for you to hang out at while you wait for your food (everything is made to order) & they have a few outside as well...or at least they did when it was warm! If you aren't a fan of waiting you can call your order in ahead of time & come pick it up. When you arrive make sure you WATCH YOUR STEP as their is a pretty large step up to get into the building & they have it painted & a sign but still, it can't hurt to warn you. The staff I've dealt with have all been really friendly & I will continue to eat here when I'm in the area. I also heard them talking about their plans to open 5 more locations in the metro area though they haven't even decided where yet so don't get too excited!!

The food was fine but the experience was awful. I ordered four sandwiches, three pops, and a milkshake after pressing shoulders with everyone in the joint due to the overcrowding. They made the milkshake right away and set it aside. 45 minutes later (not exaggerating -- I timed it) they served our food after my toddlers had gotten miserable from a standing-room-only restaurant and nothing to do for so long. The milkshake was melted and when I asked if they could make a new one since it had melted the girl looked at me like I was an unreasonable customer. Which is funny because not once in the 45 minutes did I complain and I only asked once about my order. She literally rolled her eyes at me. The experience might have ruined the food, or maybe it just wasn't that great to start with, because I'd give it a 6/10. I did like the pop selection. That was the one bright spot.

The only reason it got this was because of the milkshake and garlic fries. I tried the cluck and I was underwhelmed. The bread like a dry sponge fell apart, no seasoning on the chicken and honestly it was over done. I mean if you agree there shouldn't be black pieces then we are on the same page. The slaw topping it was so so nothing special. The price tag is not worth the product.

Love the staff, friendly and hilarious! The food was just ok. I really loved the cherry cream soda. So freaking delicious. I had the Notorious Cluck. It had no flavor. Such a bland chicken sandwich and I wanted to like it so bad. Not even bbq sauce could help. I guess I'm used to seasoned chicken. The fries (sea salt) were pretty good but I didn't like the garlic fries all (and I love garlic). Just a little too garlicky. I did not like the special flavor fries, cheese and paparika either. The cherry cream soda alone is the reason for the 3 stars. Mix it with the cola! Heaven! Next time I will definitely try the burger because I hear they are droolworthy. Then I'll update my review.

Let me tell you the last time we ate here we were so cold ...it was very uncomfortable. ..so we pulled up today and called and asked them..if they still have an issue on warming their dining area ..not only was this man very mean and rude..he then in a kind of an attitude told me there is aw they can do about this...he put on hold 2 times before i could even ask the question and he also lied to me about their location..telling me that their location is in dearborn...when its located in a very nasty part of dearborn hgts...we are here a few times before the cold issue in their dining room......i would not eat at this location ...its over priced for rude employees and the accommodations....

Their burgers are awesome, though right now I'm pregnant so the baby doesn't like meat but I was still able to enjoy it which really let's me know it's good. I absolutely love their fries and their shake is amazing too! I actually got cherry chocolate shake which isn't on their menu but they had no problem mixing it up :). Very friendly here! I'm eating the flirty fries here today, and those are sooooo good too! They made the sugar pink for valentines day, I love it! Definitely coming back again. Don't forget to grab a frequent card, after 10 visits you get $10 off!

The garlic fries are perfection. I had the moo burger with everything and hubby had the chicken sandwich. .. it was our first time here, but we'll definitely be back.

I'm happy to report Alan Fischer is no longer with the company. After being personally contacted by the owner and informed of this, I decided to give it another try. Yummy food, very pleasant employees (who are paid a good wage) and locally and naturally sourced ingredients. So I'm now a happy camper! They have added a second location in Canton. I'd LOVE to see a third location on the east side or downtown. Maybe Grosse Pointe?

Great place that pays their employees $15 an hour! Had the peppercorn burger & garlic fries. The burger was a little dry but very tasty. The garlic fries were excellent! The best part is that they make the buns on site and don't use GMO's at all! Also they have fountain pop that is made with cane sugar. No high fructose corn syrup not even in the catsup. I really enjoyed my experience and am looking forward to going to going back !

I had to check Moo Cluck Moo due to all the positive press they have been receiving due to their progressive stance on wage equality and workers rights in the fast food industry. Many things surprised me about this place, first was the location, I passed by it a few times because I was looking for a big corporate glowing sign, nope not here, it's a classy modern window type signage with a giant banner that says "Voted #1 Burger," you can't miss that. I am not a meat eater so I ordered the "Big Shroom" combo with smoke fries and a natural pop. Let me start off by saying I love the iPads they use as "registers", clean, modern and very sophisticated. Yes, there are only two tables with four stools to sit at, so be prepared to order and go. The Sweet Protein Buns were delicious and substantial, not thin and flimsy. The beautiful, colorful and crisp spring lettuce complimented the bread, while the portobello mushroom was buttery, tender and very moist. I didn't order cheese and it didn't need a splash of any kind of condiment. The fries...THE FRIES! I would travel all day and night for those fries again, super crunchy, light, filled-with-flavor, not salty, not greasy, just right. I even had a few leftover, and they were perfect hours later. Even the natural soda pop - I got the orangecicle flavor, was perfect. Wow, I forgot what natural cane sugar tastes like. This is an awesome place, the decor, friendly helpful staff, even the brown paper bag that contains your meal-simple, stylish and beautiful. You will be truly delighted and enchanted with how good, GOOD food is. Their slogan "Eat. Better." will leave you wanting more, of their amazing food.

The main reason for the low rating is the value of the Big Shroom burger. Based on the name, I assumed that either the whole burger or the shroom or both would be big. I ordered three Big Shroom Burgers for lunch for my coworkers. They thought I was joking when I served them. They were practically slider sized, and definitely not enough for lunch - so now i have to deal with hungry cranky colleagues for the rest of the day. The buns were also disappointing compared to the picture on the website. This was our first visit to MCM. Unfortunately I don't think I will be able to convince my co-workers to return. The fries were good, but not outstanding.

This food peddler is a peddler to be proud of! I give them thumbs up for caring about the people and the community they serve. I would like to see more food peddlers of their kind pop up all over this state. I will support Moo Cluck Moo for as long as live. Love their high fructose corn syrup free sodas and catsup. Their hydrogenated fat free oil, cheese, buns and ice cream shakes and of course their hormone and steroid free natural chicken and angus beef. The sea salt and field greens salads are a big plus too. This place could be the start of something that this country needs! A heather choice in fast food! I measure the quality of food on how it makes me feel after consuming it. All I can say "it was definitely feel good food". Their garlic fries, moo burgers and chili cluck burger were amazing and superlicious. I will definitely return every time I'm in the mood for a Moo or Cluck burger! Good looking out to the owners!

I wanted to visit Moo Cluck Moo after seeing how popular it is on Yelp and I finally got the opportunity last week. I ordered a chicken sandwich and my daughter had a burger. We shared the garlic fries and a chocolate shake. My chicken sandwich was very tasty and tender and I even enjoyed the bread it was served on due to its hearty texture and flavor. I would definitely order this sandwich again. My daughter's burger was pretty good, but was kind of standard fare, in my opinion, whereas the chicken was truly yummy. The chocolate shake was delicious and had great consistency; not too thick or too thin. The garlic fries were tasty, but not as hot as I would have liked. As I was dining in, I noticed a large pile of cooked fries sitting out on a pan, perhaps they could cook the fries in smaller batches to keep them hotter. I understand this is a carry out establishment, but since tables were provided, I was a little concerned to see what seemed like a little workplace friction. Oddly enough, it seemed to be about whether or not the staff had enough eggs to last until Friday. It didn't really seem like something that needed to involve as many people or as much awkwardness as I noted. I hope everything got cleared up, but I felt uncomfortable being privy to this discourse as I ate my food. One helpful thing would be if water were made available to diners at the pop machine instead of a sink behind the counter. I felt kind of bad having to ask for a refill on water while the counter employee was busy and there was a self serve pop machine available. Overall, I will be back for a chicken sandwich if I am in the area. I like their concept and vision and with a few little tweaks, I could see this being a really great place to go grab a bite at lunch.

YAY! I am excited for a place that prides itself in serving locally sourced products, and it is all natural! That's right, no GMOs, no anti-biotics, no hormones! And for chicken and beef, that is pretty great. Also, we joined their mailing list online, so they send out really good coupons from time to time. Worth it to us! Moo Cluck Moo is technically carry-out only, but they do have 3 bistro tables inside, and then this summer have had a handful of tables out front under a tent. We have eaten here a couple of times. Every month or so, they have a new "craveables" menu, which is the special items available that month. The menu can be found on their website, but they also keep laminated copies at the register. Our first time out we had barbecue hamburgers with cole slaw and haystack onions, with garlic fries (SO GOOD). That burger was incredible, juicy, and messy! The second time out, we ordered the Notorious Cluck from the standard menu, which was okay. I really felt like the sandwich called for some kind of sauce. We also ordered romano and parsley fries from the Craveables menu, which were really tasty. I have yet to order a shake, but they look delicious. I will say that their portions are generous, and I have felt STUFFED at the end of each meal. KEEP IT UP, MOO CLUCK MOO!

I really wanted to like this restaurant. Love the concept but in reality the food was worse tasting than most fast food. The fries were greasy and soggy. The burger and chicken was bland. The buns were soggy. I wasted $22, threw most of the food away (my husband choked down the chicken sandwich) Sorry, but I wont be coming back !

Ok now this is not health food but it is all natural, anti GMO and antibiotics and the meat is fresh, never frozen. They say they fry in a healthy blend of oils but do not disclose exactly what those oils are. Their soft drinks are pure cane sugar from Northwoods Soda in northern Michigan (tasty). The milkshakes feature Calder dairy products (score). They do have a decent vegetarian option in the Big Shroom portabello sandwich option as well for my veg pals to nosh on. Thats probably healthier than what I got. They can also wrap your burger in lettuce as a skinny moo upon request. I believe there is a salad which has a meyer lemon dressing that sounds good but to be honest I was kinda blinded by the potential for fattiliciousness. I opted for none of that healthiness, c'mon. I went whole hog with a fried ass chicken sammy. The notorious cluck is dipped in buttermilk, flash fried and topped with cole slaw. Nope, not health food. I paired it with garlic fries, delish and not too overwhelming. My handsome dining companion had a bigger moo burger done bacon cheese style for a mere buck more, regular fries and a shake. He gave it a thumbs up but I prefered the chicken and the addition of garlic to the fries, it jazzed it up. Not that the burgers aren't good but that chicken is super yum. Things are super fresh but yes there is still guilt involved unless you have some kind of self control. I don't. For fast food though its a definite step up.

Was good until they started forcing their PremiYUCK" buns onto their customers. Unfortunately the bun is the only option and extremely dry and tasteless. It ruins their best sandwich, Notorious Cluck. Fries and pop are ok, but don't stand on their own. Shakes are overpriced. Maybe they'll listen to their customers and make changes to win us back?

nothing worse than a cold precooked burger, looked pretty but not tasty at all, garlic fries no garlic flavor. first and last time here.

I'm sad to say that the buns are still disfustingly awful. Totally not worth the money, unless you like eating dissolving sponges. Such a shame, since the buns were actually good for a while. I'm all for eating healthy, but offer your customers a choice instead of driving your frequent customers away. Marketing 101, folks. Sigh......

I've been here twice now and wanted to wait until after I'd eaten there a few times before writing a review... Food = best chicken sandwich (in fact best piece of fried chicken PERIOD) I have ever had... Fries are out of this world (although they are twice fried and have a different texture than regular fries, McDonalds they are not (thankfully)... All of their pop high fructose corn syrup free

We stopped by yesterday afternoon shortly after they had opened. Parking was quite a challenge- we ended up driving around 2 or 3 times trying to find a spot that wasn't putting us parking in the car shop next door. We ended up parking on the side street. Space is tight on the inside- I can see why everyone says it's a grab and go scenario- they've got a few (maybe 3?) little 2-top bar tables and some seating outside. We placed our order fairly quickly- I opted for the chicken sandwich and garlic fries- and my husband ordered 2 burgers and the sea salt fries. He assumed that since they were only $3 they'd be more like sliders, but they were a pretty decent size for the price. The buns were very fresh and very tasty! It's funny to think how much a bun can make a difference in how your sandwich tastes. Both sets of fries were very good- the garlic fries were delicious (and neon yellow!). I wasn't a big fan of the slaw on my chicken sandwich, but it was still edible and I wanted to try it the way they suggest before I made any modifications. The chicken was very good. I got a cherry shake (which uses Calders ice cream, which I was fortunate to grow up a few blocks from their store, so I'm pretty familiar) and the flavor wasn't as strong as I would have liked. It was more of a vanilla shake with a hint of cherry flavor sometimes. My husband LOVED the soda options, which contain no HFCS. He doesn't drink soda normally, but it's such a different experience when it's made with real sugar. He loved the orange cream, and next time I'll be getting the cherry cream soda as opposed to a shake. Now that I've been to both, I think that Moo Cluck Moo is much better than Elevation Burger- but it is hard to compare a chain to a privately owned operation. If Moo Cluck Moo relocates to a bigger building with more seating it'd really be a hit for me- since we had to drive quite a bit out of our way to try it.

Phenomenal gluten free buns. I have celiac disease, so it is amazing to go into a food establishment and not have to worry about cross-contamination. People think that they should have a "choice"? I don't get that luxury most places, so quit your crying people! The buns are HEALTHY and taste AMAZING. The donuts buns they had for October were to die for. I wish they had the donut bacon cheeseburger year round. The milkshakes are amazing as well, I wish they had the chipotle chocolate forever! Will keep coming back.

I love this place. I am so pleased with the pop and the light crisp flavor, the cluck sandwich and the fries minus the salt. I brag you them at work. I am a fan!

I don't like giving one star reviews, but this place does not deserve the four it has. The place is way over-hyped and the food is awful. The chicken sandwich was dry and flavorless (I choked down half and threw the other half away) and the fries were somehow both undercooked and overcooked at the same time. They make chicken sandwiches and burgers -- the most basic of foods -- and, trust me, your money is better spent elsewhere. Actually, one of the best burgers in metro Detroit (Miller's) is just around the corner, so try that instead!

I defied the posted "carry out only" rule and ate at one of the three high tops so I could refill my drink a few timed. A little disappointed in the Big Shroom burger but the awesome fries and pop made up for it! I should have listened to a previous reviewer that complained about the small size of the portabella. This was a medium size mushroom cap before cooking, and it lost most of its water and size on the grill. It barely reached the edges of the bum and was very thin. The shroom was overpowered by the rest of the delicious toppings including very fresh LTOP, tons of garlic, yummy pesto, and lots of Grano Padano cheese which is similar to shaved Parmesan. This burger is not worth $6.50, it should be $3.25 like the regular Moo Burger. Plus the bun was cold :( I went with the August special paprika fries which were amazing! A Chinese take out pint container full of flavor soaked fries and topped with plenty of paprika cheese mix. The fries are $2.95 but they could charge $5-6 if they wanted. I tried a few of the Northwoods cane sugar sweetened pops, my favorite was the black cherry. There are many high quality veggie burger options on the market, maybe consider a Gardein patty or even a square of seasoned tempeh? Vegetarians deserve protein too!

Super weird location for this restaurant. You have been dreaming about the garlic fries and can't wait to stop and pick them up on your way home from work, but you wonder "will my car be here when I get back..." kinda location. With it's premium and/or locally sourced, healthier ingredients and premi-yum bun (gluten less) Moo Cluck Moo is (wait heading to my thesauraus app for a word other than awesome) MAGNIFICENT! My FAV sandwich is the Notorious Cluck and, as I previously mentioned, the garlic fries are TO DIE FOR! The sandwiches are huge so you can easily split one and still be full. I really appreciate the locally (Traverse City) sourced, high fructose corn syrup free, soda's they carry (my fav is the ginger ale). I would like to start an online petition to move this restaurant to the Bloomfield (specifically 15 mile/tel) area because I would like to eat garlic fries at least 3 times a week :)

Fries were hot and crispy. I tried the Notorious Cluck chicken sandwich, which comes with "picnic slaw" on it. The chicken itself was good, but the slaw was really heavy with onion...too much for my taste, but someone else might enjoy it. The staff was friendly and the place is clean, although really small. It's carry-out only too. The prices are a bit high, so I won't be going there all the time, but I'd go back to try a burger.

I really hate to give this place one star becasue my first couple of visits were love at first bite... It wasn't until the dreadful day they decided it was in everyone's best interest to switch to gluten free buns which totally distroy the sandwich. Corn bread bread that taste like sponge is not the way to go. I am begging you to please switch your buns back to the original. You should at least offer other options and please note that not everyone has a glueten allergy.

Used a Groupon to get the Notorius Clucks with Fries. Very small interior, about 5 small tables with stools. I did not like the bun. It was very heavy and cornmeal like and did not complement the chicken. Could tell the chicken was good quality, but did not have enough flavor for me. The shake was good of course (Calders) but was way to small for the price. The fries (garlic and regular) had good flavor but I did not like the texture of the potatoes (dense, maybe twice fried) therefore did not really enjoy them. My friend suggested we go to the store and get some regular buns, which I did. I ate a few more small bites. My friend stopped at Wendys. Sorry Moo.

Hmmm. I'm not really sure what to make of Moo Cluck Moo. If I were driving down a lonesome highway and found myself feeling hungry, I would be very pleased to choose MCM over any fast food chain. But when I went there recently, it was not out of desperation and lack of options, but because of all the hype I've read over the last few months (living wages! happy meat!). Although these are noble pursuits that I support fully, I couldn't help but feel underwhelmed by my dining experience and saddened that it didn't live up to the hype. My first impression of MCM was that it was quickly thrown together half-assedly. There wasn't much in the way of signage, just a vinyl banner that I didn't notice until driving around the block a second time. The building looked sort of decrepit on the outside. Inside, the decor consisted of precariously stacked Ikea shelving and some hand-drawn pictures of the logo. Maybe I'm being overly critical, but the dumpy ambience made me feel sad. The staff was friendly enough, and the prices were quite reasonable, but the atmosphere just felt weird to me. It left more of an impression on me than the food did, about which I don't have a whole lot to say. The burger was the typical fast food style thin patty cooked super well-done. The bun was dense and doughy, yet also sort of crumbly. The chicken was fine, it was actually identifiable as chicken unlike in a chain restaurant. The salad came on a bed of very fresh spring mix, which was nice. The dressing was pretty bland, though. I really want to like this place! I hope that if I come back in like a year it will look more like a legit business and the food will be more delicious. It's a great concept, but it hasn't won me over yet.

I ordered the Notorious Cluck and some Garlic Fries. 1. The Notorious Cluck delivered in terms of portion size, however the coleslaw was extremely bland and did not add much flavor to the sandwhich. Edible I would say, but nothing special. There is no sauce to the sandwich and the bread was soft and mushy as well. Toasting of the bread or some light sauce would have been nice. 2. The Garlic Fries were delicious. I thought these fried pieces of potatoes in sunflower oil were fantastic. They leave a neon yellow stain on your fingers, but its worth it! Overall just hype and just a decent burger stand for consumers more conscious on where their meat is sourced...but really, can you ever really know? FYI - There is no seating inside. Expect to carryout or eat standing up at one of their 4 tables.

The rating is based purely on the quality of the food and not the concept. If rating both, then closer to four stars. Their signature burger is the Moo Burger, a 4oz burger on a sweet protein bun. You aren't given a choice for meat temp (medium, well done, etc) and have limited options for toppings (standard lettuce, tomato, pickle, mustard and ketchup). Although the burger tasted good, it wasn't anything special. The patty is flattened during cooking, which ends up leading to a less desirable meat to bun ratio. The bun is akin to an English muffin in size and consistency, which also seems a bit weird for a burger. I didn't try the shake and/or fries, which may be swaying my fellow Yelpers to provide higher ratings. As a huge supporter of local, small businesses, I would recommend this for anyone wanting a decent fairly priced meal.

I was determined to try this burger since it won Best Burger in the Detroit area for 2013. I convinced my husband to go with me to this tiny diner. Prepare to take your order to go. Seating is almost nonexistent. We both agreed that the moo burger is bland and tasteless. The notorious cluck chicken sandwich saved this from being a wasted visit. It's delicious and the garlic fries and Cajun fries were also good. The hubby didn't like the Cajun fries because they had sugar(??) in the seasoning. If we return, it will only be for the chicken sandwich.

so glad I finally made out here! I wasn't prepared for the tiny little store front and had to circle the block because we almost missed it, but it was worth it. I had a moo burger and the pumpkin spice fries (YUMMM) along with an orange shake. the fries were delicious: crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. plus they were sweetened up with the holiday spices. burger was cooked well and had nice flavor. will be back to try more!!

This review comes at trip number two for this unique food lover. The signature menu items are Notorious Cluck and the garlic fries. The Notorious Cluck is a buttermilk-soaked fried chicken breast, topped with their version of coleslaw, and held between their sweet protein bun. Oh yeah. I can dig it. The garlic fries are interesting, because they seem to be coated with a garlic butter. The fry color is almost nuclear, but the flavor is subtle. I would do them again if I had a craving for something garlic-y. Now the location might shake a few people, because it's not in a "high traffic" area. West siders will be able to find the place, knowing it is across the street from Joe Randazzo's. That's how I discovered it. The prices are right. The ingredients are definitely fresh. Here's hoping Moo Cluck Moo will be a west side mainstay for years to come.

Fresh burgers, chicken and milkshakes. Thus, the name. Without a doubt, the best fries I've ever had locally. Crisp and perfectly seasoned. The chicken sandwich is fantastic, as well. I'd look out for the monthly 'Craveables' that all have a seasonal twist. Inventive and tasty. Order online and swing by and pick up for added convenience.

They said it can't be done! "They" are wrong. Staff - Excellent! Friendly, funny, fast...amazing. Always busy but very short wait. Socially responsible business? YUP Food - WOW The creamsicle chocolate shakes were the best (Calder's ice cream and milk!) Fries - top notch Burger - delicious, not greasy, cooked perfectly Buns - I'd buy them as dinner rolls (hint - you guys) Chicken sandwich - probably the best ever Fast food joint? NO Good eats QUICKLY? YES Cleanliness - spotless I will never go near there without going out of the way to eat this food... We drove over an hour to eat there. AND...they pay their help! Try any of that at the other guys!

I really wish I could give zero stars to this hell hole. I should have been wary by all the either 1 star or 5 star rating this place got but decided to roll the dice. BIG mistake. Firstly, I won't even get into how rude and downright shifty the mean spirited, vociferous, angry to be employed bitch of a cook was to each and every customer that came in. Snide comments are apparently free just like the disgusting toppings. We had to HAWK this girl to make sure she wouldn't do anything to our food and she never once took her eye off us as she was cooking the food. I HONESTLY think she was waiting for an opportunity to spit into one of our burgers. The hamburger was the most bland, tasteless hunk of shoe leather I have ever eaten, the protein bun? Whatever that thing is taste God awful. The chicken cluck sandwich was burnt, dry, tasteless as well. The nasty slaw that is used to top it tasted weeks old and bitter. The fries, both the sea salt and garlic tasted as though WAY too many fries were dropped at the same time and we are clumped together in the bag, under-cooked, and quite frankly not very good tasting once you got past the issues with the crunchy outside. How this place is in business still is beyond me. Will never come back and will make it a point to tell as many people as I can to avoid this dump like the plague. Whoever owns this place needs to take a look at the staffing issues. You CAN sometimes overlook bad food if the service was pleasant. You will get neither good service nor good food from this place. I just read further down that Alan Fisher, who used to manage Opus One of all places runs this place. ALAN!!!! How can you let this happen? You were trained by the Kokas family for God's sake. The pioneers of fine dining customer service in the metro Detroit area for decades. How did NONE of that rub off on you or your employees? Shame on you. Gus would be rolling in his grave.

Ever since they went strictly gluten free, the buns have been falling apart and have THE WORST texture ever. It feels as if I'm eating a sponge with meat with no flavor. Everything tastes like water and is unpleasant. The fries are way over seasoned and only about 4 can be stomached. For the buns, they should have had a gluten free OPTION rather than switch over cold turkey. Because of their decision and the lack of flavor in the actual burger and toppings, I won't be returning until the buns have gluten back in them and they LEARN TO SEASON INGREDIENTS, especially the meat (that's cooking 101). But they do have pretty good chocolate milkshakes. Not enough reason to make me spend my money there. Very, very disappointed.

Hands down the best buns in town! Burger or chicken is not just delicious but healthy for my family too. Keep up the great food and specials.

I really want to like this place much more than I do, but every time I go there, I end up underwhelmed. It's impossible to have anything bad to say about the Calder Dairy milkshakes so they get maximum points for those. The sea salt fries are pretty good, too. But the burger, really is just "Meh. I've experienced better" to quote the Yelp 2-star rating. Notorious cluck (chicken sandwich), even worse. Just not good at all. The bun I had last time was way too dry, bland, and overall, like cardboard. So, I figure, next option, let's take that off and try it without the bun... Well, the patty turns out to be just the same (too dry, bland, and overall, like cardboard). Also lacking in anything that could be described as flavor. Maybe it was a rough day, maybe I just didn't luck out (consistency seems to be a bit of an issue). I'm sure I'll be back to try it again, especially for any craveables that catch my eye, but not too many times.

I love Moo Cluck Moo and now that they deliver I love them even more! I really like breaded chicken sandwiches made from real chicken breast and since moving here I have had a hard time finding chicken breast sandwiches that are not grilled. Moo Cluck Moo has them and they are delicious. I order mine without the slaw and I love it. The bun is a little bit thick, but I like it and the chicken is amazing. My husband likes the "Skinny" burgers which are wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun. They can get a little messy, but apparently they are very good. I also love the milkshakes and the fries are amazing. They also do seasonal items which we sometimes try. The service is okay, generally quick unless they are very busy, pleasant atmosphere. The prices are also very, very reasonable. I highly recommend this place!

I can't believe I forgot to write a review of this place. It definitely gets an A+ from me! Their locally sourced ingredients and the treatment of their staff were enough to get me interested. My (now husband) fiance and I ventured here back in the summer to check it out. I'm surprised it took so long, and we even had a Groupon. I'd heard good things, and as I've mentioned in other reviews, I'm all about eating very high-quality food. This place did not disappoint. The burgers were great, the fries with rosemary and sea salt were fantastic, and the natural pop was really good too. The staff was friendly and helpful, and we got our food pretty quick. Next time I'm going to give one of those milkshakes a try, and probably order a chicken sandwich for variety. They both sound great!

The chicken sandwiches here are fantastic. Plus, these may be the best french fries in the state. Hands down. Their seasonal Craveable menus are always creative and delicious. We order online and pick up to help beat the crowds. A++

Kind of in love. Pretty pricey but worth it - especially the chicken and the milk shakes. I live nearby and see myself becoming a regular. Can't wait to see what's there next month!

Disappointed in this place. Was excited to see a fast food place that sourced locally and cared about its employees. The concept is great, but sorry to say the food at this stage isn't. I went in the other day for some garlic fries and a chicken sandwich. The fries were extremely soggy and covered in some weird oil I had never heard of. They left a yellow stain on my fingers almost as if they had been soaked in turmeric. Fries should be crispy and taste like potatoes, not oil. Very strange experience. The chicken sandwich was better, but still a little too bland for my taste. The bun was great and the colesalw had a good flavor that didn't overwhelm the chicken like in some sandwiches. But that strange oil they use gives the chicken an odd texture. It's not crunchy, it's just soft and mushy. It felt like I was biting into a tapioca ball or something. If it were seasoned properly it might be something I could get used to, but the chicken itself was bland and again all I could taste was the weird oil. Granted,, it didn't have that awful chemically taste found at McDonald's or Popeyes, and for that they should be commended. They're trying to do things right. But they don't have the recipe down yet. Their choice of oil, however, points to another glaring weakness of this place - its fondness for making health claims with questionable scientific basis. They pride themselves on their "healthy, all natural" soda, for example. What they mean by this is that it is sweetened with cane sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup. Yet "natural cane sugar" contains nearly as much fructose as HFCS. It might be marginally healthier, but sugar is still sugar and you shouldn't be slurping sugar down 50 grams at a time. Drinking soda, weather flavored with the "all-natural" stuff or HFCS is one of the worst things you can do to your body and its a joke they market it as a healthy. I looked up that oil they are using - "red palm fruit oil". It sounds healthy but isn't. Red palm fruit oil is nearly chemically identical to the far more common palm oil, but it has been spared one step in the refinement process so it contains more of the natural antioxidants and carotenoids found in the raw plant. What this means for your health is essentially nothing. There are better sources of these nutrients than palm oil - just eat a handful of blueberries or a sweet potato, for example. And whatever meager health benefit they may have is certainly outweighed by the fact that palm oil is otherwise the most unhealthful cooking oil on the market. The owners laughably claim that because this oil has Omega 6 fatty acids it's healthy. Omega 6 fatty acids, while essential, are actually overabundant in the American diet and compete with Omega 3 fatty acids in the body. We need more Omega 3s and less Omega 6s, not the other way around. To claim otherwise is either ignorant or incredibly cynical. This "healthy" red palm fruit oil they are using is nearly half saturated fat and pretty much the same thing they put into twinkies to stop them from going bad. It's terrible for you and the fact that they claim it is healthy shows that this place is more about marketing than about the food. You an read more about the red palm fruit oil scam here: sciencebasedmedicine.org… Now, it is possible to create fresh, locally sourced, healthy fast food. Without resorting to pseudoscientific claims about oil, they could offer a grilled chicken sandwich instead of a fried one, for example. They could reduce portion sizes and add more robust flavor to compensate. They could switch to 100% whole grain buns (which have more fiber) so that customers feel fuller with less calories. They could offer drinks sweetened with stevia instead of sugar and sweet potato fries instead of those weird garlic ones. It's not enough to just offer the same products as all the other guys with slightly different sweeteners or oils. They need to completely re-think each dish for the health-conscious customer. There's nothing wrong with their concept, but the owners seem to be paying more attention to the ideas behind the restaurant than they are to the food. When you walk in you get a sense that this place has high ambitions. They haven't achieved them yet, but with a more thoughtful menu the sky is the limit. Tone done the marketing and focus on healthy, flavorful meals and you should be fine.

I came here for the first time today and it was pretty good. First, I must say how impressed i am with the fact that they use hormone/ antibiotic free chicken and beef. Also, no HFC is a major plus to me. I had a chicken sandwhich. The coleslaw was really tasty. The chicken was fried to perfection and was a perfect portion. The bread is sweet and delicious. The downside to it is that while it was fried perfectly, there was no seasoning addded while cooking. The coleslaw helped out greatly but it fell a bit short. Until I added some of the sea salt that they have on the counter. That put the sandwhich back over the top. The salt is coarse so there is a nice crunch to it. I really enjoyed that sandwhich. I also had a burger, it was the smaller size. It was okay. If I really wanted a burger I wouldn't think of this one based on this experience. It wasn't dry, but was really just ok. I also had the garlic fries. They were tasty and something different than I've ever had. I did have to take a star away because the place is a carry out only. There are a couple place to sit, but don't count on it. There are a few tables and chairs outside, but it's right in front, so you would be sitting practically on Telegraph, so I would pass. I ate in the car so I wasn't really happy about that. I think fries and other fried food, like my chicken sandwich needs to be eaten immediately. Overall, my experience was good. I don't live close, so I'm not going to be back often as they don't allow for dining in and I don't want to take my food all the way home.

This place is great!!! Menu is very simple, but they do it really well. They're very proud of all their all natural ingredients. The garlic fries are amazing and the chocolate shake is worthy of "obsession" status. I will definitely be back many times. It does say "carry out only," but they do have three 2 top tables with chairs inside, and outside seating if the weather is favorable. Enjoy!!

Loved the halloween specials they had and their fair labor practices!!! Just wish there was better options for indoor dining and parking. I guess there's always a trade off when you opt to give your employees a livable wage and offer good food!

I want to like this place, I truly do. My hippie, liberal self is all about a better quality of food experience... yet, they just keep missing the mark. I have visited twice. Service: Bad. Long waits w/ one counter person who is expected to: make shakes, take a counter order(& the phone order waiting) and distribute the food being put up in the window simultaneously. Clearly, this can't be done. So, everyone sits: waiting & waiting for the counter person's attention to turn to them. One time, the kitchen had to come to the front to distribute food that had been sitting there for 5 minutes... clearing out the place as we had all just been sitting there waiting for our names to be hollered. Food: I get the bacon, cheese burger (I may be a hippie but I love a burger). It was not very big~ which I can accept because our idea of portion sizes is way out of line in the U.S. BUT it better be tasty. It wasn't. It was dry. At home we typically buy 90/10 beef (10% fat) and thus have to be very aware of making sure that there is enough fat to ensure the burger doesn't dry out... I suspect due to the better quality of meat they use, they may need to be hyper-aware of this concern as well. Based on the two burgers I've gotten~ they ain't. Fries: Are awesome. The garlic ones. Loved them. No complaints there. Great fries. Soda: No HFS, yay! BUT the taste was not good. My hubby & I debate whether or not they have the carbonation/syrup combination wrong. You shouldn't have to have that discussion. (The owner told us once that he doesn't drink pop. I think he needs to find someone who does for input) Call-in Service: As I said, I really, really want to like this place so I was going for a 3rd time try because, I see where they want to be... the vision is right unfortunately the execution is lacking and each time, I hope "maybe this time, it will be better". Called in, got put on hold without even a "hello", I waited :50 seconds during which the hold music blared at me... hung up. Called again, this time I at least got a "Hello, can you please hold?" request before getting put on hold. Waited 1 minute 17 seconds. Hung up. Didn't call back. I think (sniff!) I am done with this place. They need to figure out the counter situation because the service is horrible and the food is only OK. I will accept OK food for the "all-natural" element (because lets be honest, Wendy's is only OK too) but not when it is coupled with bad service.

It's simple. Take a few things, and do them exceptionally well, and be the type of owner that a customer won't mind handing over his money to. There's a proliferation of burger joints these days, and a lot of them miss on one front or the other. A good cheeseburger can totally change your day. Aside from the quality of the burgers. Hit the rest of the menu as well. GREAT garlic fries, chicken sandwiches, and shakes. Really pulling for these guys to get so successful, they expand and start the next burger empire (I'm looking at you Five Guys).

Food is very good. I had grilled chicken with apples, bacon and cheddar. I will definitely be back in the future to try more options on the menu. I tried a sample of their real cane sugar soda, sourced from Traverse City. It was quite good, but I try not to drink pop.

Well this is my opinion folks. I consumed a Bigger Moo which I thought was just an average burger. Definitely nothing spectacular. The Garlic Fries were better but the star of the meal was the Chocolate Shake. It took all the self-control I could muster not to guzzle it down within a minute or two. If my shadow happens to cross this place's threshold again I will try the Notorious Cluck & of course slurp down another shake. It's a bummer they don't have some Malt Powder.

We finally got to go there for dinner- I wanted to like it but unfortunately the burgers were dry. We also tried the chicken sand which was pretty good. Maybe we should give it a 2nd try. So disappointed b/c I had heard such good things about it...

Had the Burger, garlic fries and a chocolate shake. It was all fresh and tasty. Prices are on point for the quality ingredients that they use. Next time I will try the chicken sandwich that looked really good. Place is hard to find, so really watch because you need to turn at the side street before the restaurant.

Third strike, guys... :( My chocolate shake was handed to me with the consistency of chocolate milk- not exaggerating. :( I even politely asked if it could be made extra thick (so as to avoid my previous 2 encounters with a runny, thin milkshake. The ironic hilarity of it all was the fact that I was given an extra large straw so I could properly consume the "extra think" shake). Nope. This was of course after waiting....and waiting for the person to actually *make* my shake as I sat and watched my hot food just sit in the window. On leaving your restaurant, I noticed it had been 20+ minutes since I had initially entered for a carry out (guess how delicious my food was by the time I got home). A experience like this wouldn't necessarily lead me to be done with your place, had it been a fluke. The third time that it happens- yeah. Not gonna be rushing back anytime soon. I really like what your company stands for, but the poor service I've been receiving overshadows it.

Went there because of the raves and was totally disappointed. Had the chicken sandwich which was dry and tasteless. No seasoning in the breading and the worst bun I ever tasted. The garlic fries were undercooked and had way too much garlic and like garlic. The chocolate shake I had was over priced for the size you get. You better plan on getting it to go as they only have two tables with chairs on the inside unless you want to sit outside next to roaring traffic on telegraph road. Sounds like these people are starting to believe their own hype and the quality is suffering ,to bad. for them.

Was on this side of town and decided to go a little out of the way to check it out based on the hype I'd been hearing. I've had a lot of great burgers in my day from places that rightfully claim to have great burgers. Moo Cluck Moo's burgers were pretty good, but not great in my opinion. They definitely beat the other usual fare along this stretch of Telegraph. The regular fries were good but the garlic fries were really greasy and had a strange fluorescent yellow color to them. If you're in the area it's a good choice, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

...So I was at work on FB reading an article about livable wages when I noticed the name Moo Cluck Moo mentioned. A name like that naturally caught my attention. I found their website and pulled it up. Normally I would look at the menu first...but the home page photography caught my attention. I called N over to take a look (We are all Custom Art Framers in Ferndale.) Seriously well done site folks, definately frame-worthy material. After much positive commentary about the visuals we made our way to the menu. I was super psyched to learn they had a vegetarian option called the Big Shroom. We got our other co-worker V in on it and took a trip to the place. The Big Shroom is a roasted Portobello with, Grana Padano, Spring greens, and Moo sauce on a bun...Hells yeah! I also ordered Garlic Fries...Sold! From the Craveables menu I ordered a Howling Cow Milkshake...OMFG! It was delicious, I'm pretty sure it was made of ground Unicorn horn and Wizard dust because it was magical. My meat eating friends ordered a Creepy Cluck and a Wicked Moo from the Craveables menu. They had nothing but great things to say about 'em. I do have to add that they use foods free of antibiotics and growth hormones...So super sweet! As for service Krista and Allen were helpfull, upbeat, and personable, even the other customers were upbeat and personable. I do hope in the future a Ferndale location pops up. I think it would really fit with our vibe here. It would be a gold mine. I will be back!

Went there Friday 6/21/13 - Read the Metro times review - sounded good. Jimmy Schmidt involved - Executiev Chef from a good restaurant as mamager - Dosen't make it Only one counter person. Out of the Shroom burger - had a vegetarian with us - they suggested the Garden salad with chicken - without the chicken - no discount in price. The staff does not seem empowered for customer service. A big disappointment - MT review did not indicate carry out only - they have some tables and chairs set out in front - On Telegraph? Wanted to love it - could not - Try Green Dot stables in Detroit for a better experience.

This place is the greatest! The food is natural and local. My favorite are the salads with pesto dressings.....soooooo good! The Moo burger is juicy and the fries are homemade. I absolutely love the soda pop floats made with Calder Dairy ice cream and high fructose free pop from Petoskey I believe. I tell all foodies i know about this place...great addition to the neighborhood.

What an amazing place. This may be the best kept secret in the area. The food is always fresh and wonderful. The garlic fries are amazing! I really appreciate that they offer a monthly craveables menu! This menu is like a secret menu offered for a limited time that features ingenious spins on their menu items. We run a comicbook store a few miles away and are constantly getting takeout. We recommend this store to all of our customers!

I have driven just under 60 miles from Toledo, Ohio to eat at Moo Cluck Moo a number of times since they opened. Yes, that's near 120 miles round trip for the best darn burger (chicken sandwich, fries, shake - insert any of their menu items here). It's one of those restaurants with food that keeps you coming back time and time again. Their monthly craveables menu mixes it up and keeps surprising my palate. I love the happy attitude of the employees and was especially touched when the chef, Allen, came out of the kitchen to personally deliver a warm, freshly baked chocolate chip cookie (another gooey, yummy special they had over the summer) to my little girl. Moo Cluck Moo is everything you could want in a fast service restaurant; better, fresh food, engaged (and engaging) employees, in a cool atmosphere to boot. Bravo.

I'm surprised this hip little trendy joint isn't located within the Woodward corridor! After seeing the other Yelp reviews on this place, my husband and I thought we'd try it. The staff at the front counter takes pride in the food they serve and provided us with details on the quality while we waited for our order. We loved the fact that all the food is natural even down to their soda. I had the Moo, but there really wasn't enough beef for my bun. My husband had the Big Moo, which probably had a better bun to beef ratio. Fries were fabulous - especially the garlic fries! We'll be back again!

Very good!! We ordered the burger and chicken sandwich...wasn't crazy about the coleslaw they put on the chicken sandwich but everything else was great!!! The garlic fries are AWESOME. We has it delivered, true to the time estimate they give(1 hour) delivery guy was very nice! Will go back!!!!!

well first they advertise their natural pop pretty much but when i went there they said their pop machine was broken!! They offer me instead a bottle of water for the same price!! Wow!!!! Thanks!! They finally say i can have a milk shake for the same price!! But do they have strawberry!!NO!! I definitly thought i was going to have a bad expierience so i decided to just leave!! A real shame!! oh well!!

I said I would give Moo Cluck Moo another shot, and today was the day. Unfortunately, I found myself similarly disappointed. The burger continues to be bland, although this time the bun itself had taken on a slightly moistened sponge-like texture which was equally unsettling and uncomfortable in terms of mouthfeel. Thinking about it now has made me feel a little woogy. The garlic fries had more garlic taste to them this time, but still suffers from being overly oily and oversalted. Such a shame.

Best burgers in town, and I should know... My first phrase ever was "burgers are delicious" I love this place, yes it's not cheap, but you always feel like you're paying for the quality of food and the quality of life for the employees. They're pretty nice people, so I'm okay with paying a tiny bit more for awesomeness. Their burgers smells better than any other burgers I have ever smelled, and they taste just as good if not better. Best. Burgers. Ever. Some people that have left reviews that lead me to believe that they do not "get" this place. Yes the buns are different, but they are low carb and gluten free. I have celiac disease, so I've tried a lot of GF buns, these are by far the very best GF buns around. Sooooo good. Have I mentioned I love bread, hate having celiacs and hate Gluten free bread in general? These buns are different, but in an absolutely wonderful way. Moo cluck moo almost makes me feel like a normal human again. I can actually go here without having to explain my entire diet and celiacs in general, and then beg and plead for them not to accidentally poison me. I felt weird ordering from here and not having to worry about that, and weirder when the food didn't taste gluten free. I haven't had onion rings in years, and their GF onion almost brought me to tears. Tears of pure joy. The garlic fries are to die for and so are the shakes! This is a place where fitness people and celiacs can find a tasty treat and bring their friends too. This food is so good, we drive a half an hour each way to get it.

I have been going to this location for about a year. I have been forced to be gluten free for about three years now and it is really difficult some times to eat out. I really missed having a good burger. My husband heard about this place through a friend (they gave it a great review) so he took me there for lunch. I was hooked! High quality meat, cooked just right on a very moist and palatable gluten free bun. My husband who's not gluten free liked my burger so much he chooses to eat here too now. The service is not super fast, but each meal is made to order. It's definitely worth the wait. Their sea salt fries are awesome too. I crave the food here and probably some about twice a month. I am so glad this place is here it makes being gluten free a whole lot easier!

If they had decent buns I would give them a five star review. I WANT to give them five stars. All the positive things people say about this place are true. Great ingredients, they pay fair wages, creative menu. But the buns... Spongy funny-tasting things that fall apart. They are low carb, and that's cool. I have been on low carb diets in the past and during that time I would have been happy to have some kind of low carb version of bread; but I'm not right now. It would be cool if they had two options for a bun: their current one and a more traditional (yet high quality organic) one. Last time I went, the the bun turned into mush by the third bite and I got rid of it and ate the rest with a fork and knife.

  • Neil Y.

I wanted to love this place because I like what they stand for: higher quality ingredients, no food funny business, emphasis on local and paying the employees a fair wage. Few places do this successfully and it appears that MCM is on their way as they now have multiple locations. We plugged the address into the GPS and we passed it twice. It's not easy to find because it's the middle store in a small strip mall. It didn't help that Telegraph is horribly under construction right in front. If it helps, look for the tattoo shop on the corner and park behind the building. Strike one. I thought that since the employees make considerably more than other fast food workers that they would be friendlier. Nope. The two guys working there could care less even the place was dead. I asked for his recommendation and he said that, "the menu is small" and "do you really need a suggestion? It's either chicken or a burger." Yeah, I gathered that from reading. Strike two. I ordered the Biggest Moo which is two 1/3 Wagyu beef patties on their homemade bread. I'm not used to eating Wagyu but it has a slight smell to it that is just different than what you're used to. That aside, the burger is just bland and overall flavorless which then begs to be slathered in ketchup to make up for it. C'mon MCM, a little salt and pepper go a long way. I expect this from the arches not a place that uses Wagyu beef. The bread is different too. It isn't the bulk of the meal which is nice but rather has a tendency to fall apart with the double meat because it is lighter and not spongy like a traditional hamburger bun. Perhaps scale back down to the single 1/3 patty to better even out the meat to bun ratio. I also ordered the BBQ fries which were tossed in a dry rub seasoning. I ate about 1/4 of my serving because all I could taste was the dry rub. It was simply too overwhelming. My wife had the garlic fries and she said the same thing--too much seasoning, greasy and messy. It was clear that the two gents didn't give a rat's rear about attention to detail or customer service. Strike three. The highlights of the visit were the orangesicle milkshake and the Northwoods sodas which were spectacular and for that I give the second star. Like I said, I want to love this place and perhaps look into purchasing a franchise but they need to hone it in first. I'll give this place a second visit but I'll go to Canton location instead.

The service is always great here and i don't worry about my food trying a little extra to get prepared; at least i know it's not sitting out. Please note - I highly suggest trying different types of sandwiches. My "go-to" sandwich is a standard BLT (cut in half) or a moo burger; you'll definitely have to get used to bread. I really want to love it but right now i'm just dealing with it. You can opt to use a different type of bun - unfortunately it might have more carbs in. THE GARLIC... OMG YOU CAN GO WRONG! Probably the worst thing to order but they are so good and you'll get a ton of them. Happy Eating!!!

You just cannot go wrong here. Though the prices are higher than your run of the mill fast food, I promise, you'll be satisfied. Go with 2 people and each order a sandwich, but split the fries. There are a ton in an order. Also, you should go just for one of their amazing, and I mean amazing, milkshakes. I'm not even a sweets person, but these are really good. Guernsey Dairy ice cream? Yes, please. Plus, they pay their employees a living wage. Eat fast food less often, and plan for that indulgence to be made here.

I like this place, I really do. Since discovering an untimely (because when it is ever the right time to be gluten intolerant) intolerance, it has proven to be quite difficult to get some eats. My meals nowadays are both greatly researched and meticulously chosen. I no longer expect food to taste a certain way, I'm usually happy if it is simply decent. At MCM, this is not something I have to deal with at all. I can literally eat any and everything on the menu and it makes me so very happy. I usually get this during my lunch hour, be jealous! The Dearborn Heights location is about a 8 minute drive or so. I typically order online and go straight to the month's craveables, which are simply the specials with featured flavors for the month. My most recent visit, however, I decided to get a Moo Burger, it's a good way to be economical with all their freebies like (LTO, BBQ sauce, Steak Sauce). I got my with Smoked Gouda, Bacon (both $.90 each extra) with LTMayo and BBQ Sauce, and it was delicious, just a perfect burger and on the side simply because I was feeling adventurous I got the Honey Glazed cluck bites, which were also delicious. This isn't to say that their fries aren't heavenly, I just didn't get them because my friends ordered one serving each, and it was enough to feed the office, or at least the 5 of us in the back. The garlic fries are worth losing friends over, seriously and the sea salt fries are nothing scoff at either. Thick cut and perfect flavoring, they are pretty difficult to resist. I easily go here at least once - twice a week, without shame. There are times where the burgers may be a bit sloppy, there may also be a rare occasion where you'll have to return because they're bombarded with orders and human error is a thing, so just keep in mind maybe give your burger a once over before heading out. Other than that, they're kind, apologetic when mistakes happen, and keep calm voices as you frantically call them after having had 2 cluck bites to confirm in the Cluck Bites too are gluten free. To which they'll calmly reply, "No worries. It is all gluten-free." Bless you Moo Cluck Moo, bless you. You are loved more than you know.

I have been going to Moo Cluck Moo for a while now. I visited from a social deal they offered and have returned (alot) because of the food, staff, and values. They offer a Craveables Menu, which changes every month. They are usually a unique, chicken, beef, salad, fry, and shake options. I am in love with Craveable fries that have included fries coated in Hot Tamales (yes, taking it back to childhood) and the latest creation with BBQ spice. The soda is real and the shakes are made with real milk (creamy and smooth). The burgers are fresh and the buns are high in protein. If you are into healthy options then Moo Cluck Moo would be a great option. If you are a fast food, squishy bun lover then you will be a little shocked when you try a burger. The buns are gluten free, low in carbs and high in fiber and protein. I am fine with them and my child even enjoys them in the kids meals. You get quality ingredients and the price is a little higher than fast food, but comparable to your sit down restaurants. A burger will run about $9 and includes the basic fixings (onions, lettuce, etc.). I don't mind paying extra for decent food. They offer a frequent visit punchcard that will save you $$$ after 10 punches. Social media has become apart of everyday life for many and they offer deals/specials on Facebook and Instagram. Overall, I enjoy a visit to Moo Cluck Moo.

I am a bit torn on this place. I thought everything about the burger was great, including the bun, which I was surprised at due to the low carb crumbling aspect but I liked it. The veggies including the fresh bright green jalapeños were delicious fresh and crunchy. Truly, the burger and it's ingredients reminded me of a Vietnamese sandwich shop I adored in Chicago. I one complaint. Do not serve the best meat possible and only allow medium well, that is ludicrous. I was given an excuse that the menu needed to be changed to reflect some state language describing if you consume under cook meat blah blah blah. Okay, so I bought that and could see the issue, until I looked up how long it has been in business, since 2013, far too long to be still destroying meat.

Not a place the bring a family. $65 for a family of 5. Buns were soft, food overall was not edible. Hipsters can keep this one, it isn't for everyone (especially those who enjoy the taste of good food)

Solid Burger. However, it could be seasoned with more salt. I am not a fan of the gluten-free bun. Most of the public does not have a gluten allergy. Customers should have an option to select a better tasting bun. Tasty soda. However, I will no longer purchase soda because the price is approaching an excessive 3 dollars.

Great burgers, great fries. But be warned, while this place has a few tables for a few people, they are meager. The location is in no way designed for you to order and sit down and eat with parties larger than 2. It is absolutely designed for carryout. Parking is also a bit frustrating since you are right on Telegraph. I'm not saying you can't find somewhere to park, just that you probably won't find somewhere RIGHT AWAY. Overall, even with its disadvantages, I would recommend it for the great Burgers and Fries, but plan for carry out.

I think Moo might be under appreciated. I think some people might not really get what they have done from a food stand point that is totally different and makes them awesome. I got the Notorious Cluck with bacon and smoked gouda, and a snack size fried cluck with bbq sauce. Having spent countless hours toying around with various high protein breads, the bun is absolutely amazing at Moo Cluck Moo. Yeah, it's a little wimpy and falls apart...use a fork or get a little messy! Low carb? Check. High protein? Check. High fiber? Check. It's a fitness addicts perfect bun. Massive Amish chicken dredged in coconut flour, spices and butter milk and flash fried...yes please. Closing down a "fast food" meal with under 20g of carbs and over 15g of fiber is unreal. It just doesn't happen. The chicken had a great crunch, mild spice kick(not "hot") and buttermilk flavor. The bacon could have been crispier, but I don't even care. This is not meant to be a chicken sandwich from a typical fast food joint..these are specialized, healthier, better ingredients that add so much more to the meal. If there were a MCM in every city I travel to for work, I would eat nothing but MCM on the road, and I would flash my 6 pack everywhere gleefully. My only hope is that they continue to have a "growth" mindset and improve and expand their concept. I would love one in Rochester, Troy and Shelby. I know the fitness community would as well.

A random person at my hotel recommended I go here... and I'm glad they did! I didn't realize it wasn't an actual restaurant with tables and all... carry out only. Although my burger was a little soggy and the fries were a little cold by the time I got back to the hotel, it was still an amazing burger! And I didn't get that gross burger and fries feeling after.

When I first found out about this place, I couldn't help but smile ear to ear. Why? The name you guys! Who doesn't love a cute name like Moo Cluck Moo? And more importantly, a place that delivers scrumptious chicken sandwiches and burgers? :) I had some business to attend to in Corktown, and before I got a chance to think about what to grab to eat, Husband texts me, "go try Moo Cluck Moo, and buy some extra so I can try some later." Now, who could refuse a request like that? :) I sure couldn't, so off I went. I arrived around 1:30pm, and there were 4 other people eating already. Though this place explicitly says carry out only, they do have some indoor high tops set up, as well as outdoor tables. It was hot out, so there weren't that many people sitting outside. After I checked out the menu, I decided to order a variety: notorious cluck ($6), grilled cluck ($5), garlic fries ($2.50), and September moo special blazin moo ($4). I was pretty hungry, so I tried the moo and half the notorious cluck and saved the rest for later. Loved the blazin moo, as it had a chipotle aioli and cheese. The spice level wasn't very intense, but the smoky flavor was good. I just would have added some Tabasco to give it more heat. Other than that, I enjoyed the moo. A couple things to note (I agree with Annette's statement) - the bun to meat ratio is a bit off, but I imagine with the bigger moo, it wouldn't have that issue. Meat needs to be thicker, or bun needs to be thinner. Second, if you want water, you can't get it at the self serve soda dispenser. Strange, no? They take your cup and bring it to the back and fill it with tap. Ick. The notorious cluck was all that and some more. Probably my favorite, and paired with garlic fries? Yum. I couldn't stop grabbing them. The flavor is really addicting. The color of the fries are different, but I attribute that to the red palm and sunflower oil they use to fry them. It didn't bother me at all, but just don't be alarmed when you see them. Later in the evening, husband and I ate the grilled cluck, and it was very tasty. Meat was moist, and the sauce is fab. We also digged the slaw. It had a nice tart flavor. Overall, I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area, and would recommend to those who want to eat a fresher alternative to fast food. Service was excellent, and even the cooks had smiles on their faces. Bonus that their beef is grass fed. :)

This place is lovely. The staff is always friendly and try to help give you options. The menu is amazing. Very healthy and non fattening. One of my old friends worked here and she was always pleasant and happy while working. They do an excellent job. The only thing I didn't like about this restaurant is how small is was.

Burgers are good. I wish the fries were a little better but the burgers are delicious! I also heard a piece on NPR where the owners talked about paying their employees above minimum wage, which makes me feel better about eating here. Employees were very nice and helpful as well. It's not a Millers burger but still pretty damn good!

I was torn between three and four stars for this place, but because of all the good karma they have built up in the news, I rounded up. :) If you haven't read about their organic policies, business practices, and the way they treat their employees, Google it. I don't need to go into details, but they've been profiled on freep and huffington post and all kinds of periodicals of note. Those well-treated and decently paid employees must have either been overly swamped or having a bad day, because there was mass confusion in the kitchen, people arguing about who was responsible for what in front of customers, and even a nasty food spill. Most of these things could happen anywhere, so I'm not really faulting. There is precious little seating inside, and really only room for a couple tables of two. If the weather is nice, there is outdoor seating, and we were able to pull some tables together to make a larger table. Now on to the food. I ordered the Notorious Cluck sandwich and splurged to make it a Shake Combo. I added garlic fries and a cherry shake to the mix for a total of $11.13 including tax. Kind of pricey, but it was a lot of food, and shakes are expensive. The chicken sandwich was super high quality. The chicken was succulent, crispy on the outside, moist and not over cooked. The slaw was vinegar-based, which I love, and added another good crunch to the sandwich. I liked the breading. My only concern is that it feels like they left off the seasoning. It tasted like really good chicken, batter, bread, and cole slaw - with no salt or pepper. I would have them add tomato, lettuce, mayo, and sprinkle some of the delicious Hawaiian Sea Salt they have at the counter on this sandwich to give it a little extra oomph. The fries were great. The ones at the bottom of the bag were swimming in a yellowy, garlicky, greasy substance - maybe a bit too much - so I let them go. The ones at the top of the bag had similar flavor, more subdued - and were absolutely wonderful. I didn't add any salt and used ketchup sparingly, as these fries speak for themselves. A bit more "tossing" before putting them in the bag might prevent the greasy mess at the bottom, which did leak through the paper bag and onto the table. Thankfully their outdoor picnic table and not my car seat. The milk shake was divine. It had some cherry soda in it, and easily beat more expensive milkshakes from places that are known for them. Of all the reasons to rush back to Moo Cluck Moo, I'd have to give the edge to that cherry shake. One of my companions had a Moo Burger and said it was really good, but much smaller than he expected. Keep in mind, this isn't traditional "fast food," so if you order the $3 burger there, don't expect it to be huge. It's the size of a regular burger at a fast food place, but much higher quality. If it's going to be the focal point of your meal, and you're not on a strict diet, I would highly recommend going with the Bigger Moo, as a few others eating there around the same time as me seemed happier than a cow in a field with theirs. I'll definitely come back a slightly wiser man the next time I visit Moo Cluck Moo, and I hope you do the same. The place is less than a year old and has ambitious dreams of bringing tasty, quality food with great business practices to a place that really needs people with such ambition.

This is a must try place in metro Detroit. Its a "Burger" place (OK a sandwich and sometime salad and with thick milkshakes too) trying to do it the right way. From locally source proteins (and pop), lo-carb rolls, twice cooked fries. All at price that is competitive with the national chains. And yes, they tell me its free from GMO and antibiotics, so it has that going for it too. They give you a selection of 5-8 proteins, from cow to lamb to veggie to chicken. And then you pick between 10-12 toppings of which only a few are an upcharge. Make it a combo, with fries and drink or just make it a salad out of it, and don't forget about their spicy slaw. I went with a grilled cluck combo - the chicken breast was larger than the bun, fresh and juicy. The fries were great, crispy and crunchy. The wife had lamb (she really hates sheep, eats them all the time), which had a layer of Feta cheese, she like the fries too - she even tried the garlic fries. So why should you try this place (or the sister place in Canton by Ikea)? Granted it has no parking, limited signage, and 10 seats in the dining room. Because they are trying to do the right way, and they care about their customers. They are supporting local businesses in Michigan. Providing a living way to their employees. Producing food that tastes good. We need to reward these types of businesses with our loyalty, or at the very least, trying it. What really sold me was it's name Moo, Cluck, Moo - how can you not try a place with a name like that?

Garlic fries, y'all! That's my jam. They are not for neat eaters. I think I went through about 4 napkins just making my way through the cup but, man! They are good. They're either fried or doused in a garlic oil that rocked my world. I also ordered the Moo burger and in the future I will totally do the Bigger Moo. While the regular size was quite good I found it to be far too little meat for the bun. I think the Bigger Moo would solve that problem, although it is kind of a bummer if I don't want to eat that much meat. Maybe thinner buns? IDK. I did like the bun but it was a bit too much. The burger itself was great. Good flavor, not too dry (maybe the bun/meat ratio makes it feel dry to others?), and I love that it's grass fed hormone free meat. A great alternative to all the other fast food joints that pepper Telegraph. I had plans to grab ice cream later with a friend so I didn't grab a shake but damn, they looked good. Made with Calder dairy products. Next time, I am getting one. They also have a chicken sandwich regularly on the menu and a rotating list of monthly specials. July featured a Salty Cow shake (double chocolate with sea salt, omg), spicy Fire Fries, and a Summer Spiced Cluck salad. They also have an soda machine with all natural beverages. No creepy chemicals here! Next to the quality ingredients the real draw of this place is the price. The burger and fries plus a pop only set me back $7. Only a couple of bucks more than a fast food combo meal and much better quality, much better for you. Do a shake combo instead of a pop and add only $4.50 to your sandwich for a shake and fries. Not too shabby. This place is mostly take out but there are a few tables inside and one nice days outside. The view isn't much along Telegraph so I'm not sure I'd really sit a spell out there but it is an option should you like to dine al fresco.

What the hell were you folks thinking putting the fried chicken in some sort of god awful bun that was a cross between cornbread and organic wrapping material. Stick with a chicken sandwich in a somewhat normal bun! In the meantime, no more cluck for me.
